Household Cleaning Tips for the Busy Mom

Moms seem to always get the short end of the stick when it comes to cleaning house. Housecleaning chores are seemingly the last thing anyone wants to do and here's a newsflash for you. Moms hate doing household chores too! Cleaning tips seem like the last thing any mom would want to hear about but yet there seems to be a very real need to help the moms of this world get it together and keep it together!

Tips for household cleaning can start with mom and dad but it wouldn't hurt to encourage the family's youngest members to pick up a broom or at the very least, pick up things in their own rooms! Here's a plan to help all of the families of this world keep mom sane and keep the home clean!

Cleaning house doesn't need to be a thing that can bring on a family dispute. Learn to delegate the chores to everyone and you will be surprised at what you may be able to accomplish. Pick out a few chores to give to the younger children such as folding towels and gathering all of the dirty clothes. Teach your younger teens and tweens how to start the clothes dryer and the washing machine. Make sure your child knows the difference between the items hidden away in the laundry room cabinets and knows what Bleach and Gain are and the differences of each and then expect them to pitch in with laundry chores.

Send a teenage son out to sweep the sidewalk and rake up leaves while showing older teens how to mow the lawn and trim the shrubs. The best way for your child to learn household and lawn tips are from watching you do it too so show them how to do the things that need to be done around the house and around the lawn.

Cleaning duties can be easy for mom and dad if parents will take the time to place a mop, broom, and dusting cloth into the hands of their children. One of the best household tips to help mom have time for mom-time is to enlist the help of her children. And when that doesn't work, then enlist the help of a household cleaning service and wave good-bye to the allowances for the kids. After all, if they can't help with the work, then their allowances can help pay to have it done!
